​​Is Herbalife bad for me?​

Our team of experts uphold the highest standards for product science and safety. All processes are overseen by the Global Product Science & Safety (GPSS) Guideline for Evaluating Safety of Herbalife’s (HLF) Inner Nutrition Products.

This comprehensive document offers a process to assess the safety of all Herbalife ingredients. It is continuously revised and updated in accordance with science and regulations related to the safety evaluation of food and dietary supplements for instance:

  • European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Guidance for Submission for Food Additive Evaluations.

  • ESCO’s Advice on the EFSA guidance document for the safety assessment of botanicals and botanical preparations intended for use as food supplements, based on real case studies.

How does Herbalife test their products?

Herbalife tests all products both internally and through third-party certifying organisations to verify compliance with regulatory guidelines. We test, retest, and then test again.

We have Research and Development (R&D) centres in each of our major regions: North America, South America, Europe, China, Asia Pacific, and India. Together, we collaborate with our global colleagues and our team of scientists to understand and manage priorities for new products.

  • Our quality control laboratories all comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and ISO 17025 accreditation protocols.
